信越トレイルでは、11月1日から冬じまい作業が始まります。これは、冬の積雪に備えるため、ルート上の一部道標やテントサイトの案内看板等を撤収するものです。

作業は2025年11月1日(土)から始まり、峠への各アクセス道が冬季閉鎖される11月中旬頃までに完了します。つきましては、信越トレイルのハイキングを計画されているハイカーの皆様は以下の点にご留意ください。

①道標類が撤収されている箇所があるため、ルートが分かりづらい場合があります。公式マップや GPX データをご用意ください。

②日照時間が短くなり、気温も想像以上にさがることがあります。しっかりとした防寒対策や時間に余裕を持ったプランニングを。

③各アクセス道が冬季閉鎖になるとトレイルヘッドまでは徒歩でのみアクセス可能となります(万一の場合の緊急車両も向かうことができません)。

④アクセス道閉鎖後は、信越トレイルクラブでは道を管理できませんので、安全上のリスクが高まります。

⑤冬じまい後の各テントサイトは、トイレ施設と水場(水道の場合)が使用不可となります。

⑥中子集落(セクション8)にあるハイカー用の仮設トイレは11/10頃に撤去予定です。

Winter Preparation Work Begins on the Shin-etsu Trail from November 1

Starting November 1, winter preparation work will begin along the Shin-etsu Trail. This work involves removing some trail signs, campsite information boards, and other facilities in preparation for heavy snowfall during the winter months.

The work will start on Saturday, November 1, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed by mid-November, when access roads to the trailheads will close for the winter season.
If you are planning to hike the Shin-etsu Trail in November, please take note of the following:

(1) Some signs and markers will be removed, which may make the route difficult to follow in certain sections. Please carry the official map and/or GPX data.

(2) Daylight hours are short, and temperatures can drop much lower than expected. Be well-prepared for cold weather and plan your schedule with extra time to spare.

(3) Once access roads are closed for the winter, trailheads can only be reached on foot (please note that emergency vehicles will also not be able to access these areas).

(4) After the road closures, the Shin-etsu Trail Club will no longer be able to maintain the trail, and safety risks will increase.

(5) After the winter preparation work, toilets and water facilities (including tap water) at campsites will be unavailable.

(6) The temporary toilet for hikers in Nakago Village (Section 8) is scheduled to be removed around November 10.
